Martha Willette Lewis creates drawings addressing science and the history of knowledge. Recently she has been working on a series of three-dimensional drawings based on ideas in physics and math, which follow the folds and volutes of complex crumpled surfaces. She has shown nationally and internationally, including at The Decordova Museum, Lincoln, MA, The Museum of Modern Art, Oxford, the Tricycle Gallery, London and The Tides Institute and Museum in Eastport, Maine. Martha received a BFA from Cooper Union and an MFA from Yale University and is part of a collective art group called Overflow, which includes Eva Mantell and Melissa Marks.
