This Place is an effort to build and share something important right now. The series includes 18 unique monoprints with hand coloring. I have had an impulse toward deep and open space; with it comes a psychological sense of openness and possibility. So offering a place like this seems essential, something to head to rather than run from.

Nicholas H. Ruth is an artist living and working in upstate New York. Ruth received a BA from Pomona College, and an MFA in Painting from the Meadow’s School of Art at Southern Methodist University. His work has been included in numerous exhibitions nationally and internationally, including the IPCNY New Prints 2021/Summer, Inkfest Cairns 2021, the 2019 IPEP India Juried Print Exchange, and the 9th Triennale Mondiale de l’Estampe Camalieres. Ruth is the Class of ’64 Endowed Professor of Art at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York.
