SYNTHESIS: A performance by Liene Bosquê & Alexandra Filipe

Saturday, March 26, Planthouse presents SYNTHESIS, an 11-minute performance at 3 and 4 pm, a collaboration by MDF Blog artist, Liene Bosquê and Soprano Alexandra Filipe.

Bosquê created Vietnamese Temple, a tribute to the ruins of Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary: a cluster of tower-temples that once were a part of the Champa Kingdom. The work is a contemplation on all that is taken by the fires of war, and the balancing of feminine and masculine forces.

The performance features Alexandra Filipe, who will activate the piece through sacred chanting. The silent sculpture will become alive, from an inward prayer to the outward ears of the streets.
