Spring 2024 | Victory Garden | Miss 2024
MISS debuted as SUFFRAGETTE SASHES in 2017, when Victory Garden Collective distributed over 1000 free handprinted protest sashes to participants of the Women’s Marches held on January 21, 2017. In 2020, MISS transitioned to a bandana, advocating for safe protesting during the pandemic and encouraging voter participation in the 2020 election. This year, MISS 2024 emphasizes the importance of protecting democracy and women’s rights, particularly in light of the U.S. Supreme Court’s reversal of 49 years of abortion rights in the Dobbs v. Jackson ruling.

Victory Garden Collective (Louise Eastman, Jess Frost, Tara Geer, Katie Michel, Wendy Small, and Janis Stemmermann), formed in 2016 in response to the presidential primaries. Their projects take cues from suffragette movements, with a mission to galvanize women to keep pushing for change.
