Collection: Beth Ganz | Overview

PRINTS & DRAWINGS OF SACRED MOUNTAINS

JUNE 27 – AUGUST 4, 2023

Opening Reception: Tuesday, June 27, 6-8PM

The subject of Beth Ganz's work is sixty-four sacred mountains of the Eastern and Western Hemispheres, of which nineteen are the subject of this exhibition. Using the bird's eye view provided by satellite images, she focuses on soaring topographies that reach heavenwards. Ganz renders her digital sources through handmade processes including copperplate photogravures as well ink and brush drawing. Hovering above Mount Kailash, Mount Olympus, or Mount Damavand, she offers views that are otherwise inaccessible. Planthouse is pleased to present Beth Ganz’s Overview this summer.
