Planthouse presents Alabamanhattan by Keith Thomson, an exhibition featuring twenty-five new mixed-media paintings. The works draw inspiration from Alabama, where Thomson is based, to New York City, where he previously lived. They are droll, whimsical tableaus brimming with social commentary that speak to his former job as a political cartoonist at New York Newsday. He creates as a means of escapism from the monotony of everyday life both for himself and the viewer.  Alabamanhattan is Thomson's first solo exhibition at Planthouse.
